“Opportunities and Challenges in CFD-FEA assessments of Multiphase-induced vibration”
Presentation will share some of our experiences with the use of CFD and FEA simulations to support multiphase-induced vibration risk assessments in subsea, top-side and on-shore refining applications.
The talk will aim to provide:
- an overview of some existing methodologies
- example scenarios where coupled CFD-FEA methodologies supported risk assessment for vibration fatigue and fretting wear mechanisms
- some wider thoughts on how to improve simulation fidelity and approach questions of uncertainty quantification
