Tuning of forcing functions against force time series from benchmarked multiphase CFD

Olivier Macchion

After benchmarking of a multiphase Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) methodology against data obtained under well-controlled experimental conditions, the influence of pressure effects on multiphase flow induced forcing is investigated. Correlations involving the Lockhardt-Martin parameter are derived, and show that at high pressure lower vibration levels can be expected.
